James Madison vowed to place his confidence in God under every difficulty. He gave honor to “that Almighty Being whose power regulates the destiny of nations.” With these words, President Madison issued a blessing on the rising Republic which had seen the conspicuous goodness of our Lord. Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord and has made the Lord his hope and confidence. (Jeremiah 17:7, TLB) Trust in God inspires our elected leaders to become greater because love, compassion, and wisdom guide their hearts, minds, and decisions.  

PRAY

Father, let Your truth be engraved on the tablet of our hearts. Fill the minds of our leaders with the power of Your word, the wisdom of Your ways, and the love that will change our world. Be present in every area of the legislative, executive, and judicial branches. Administer Your final authority throughout the U.S. government and bring unity at the foot of the cross. Amen.
