God is truly wonderful. His sending the Holy Spirit to us is a gift we can never take for granted. Having a Comforter in our corner at all times is no small thing in a world growing colder every day. We couldn’t serve God with strength, confidence, or consistency without Him. He’s our get-up-again when we’re knocked down by the pressures of this life. He’s our don’t-give-up when we’re at our weakest. He’s the one filling our thoughts with the life-giving, soul-encouraging Word of God when we feel unable to put our brokenness into prayer. Why do we lean on Him and learn these truths about Him? So we can draw near to God, receive encouragement, and offer the same encouragement to others.

This is what I have asked of God for you: that you will be encouraged and knit together by strong ties of love, and that you will have the rich experience of knowing Christ with real certainty and clear understanding. Colossians 2:2
