The remarkable and miraculous involvement of God in our fight for independence cannot be too gratefully acknowledged—even to this day. Our hearts should be no less sure of why we’re a free and blessed nation than our founders were at its dawn. As for God, His way is perfect; The word of the Lord is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him. (2 Samuel 22:31) Our absolute trust can be put in the One who deserves our profound praise and ongoing gratefulness. Oh, bless our God, you peoples! And make the voice of His praise to be heard. (Psalm 66:8)
