At some point in our lives, we realize our relationships are everything. Possessions are temporal, feelings are fleeting, and time is racing. God, in providing everything we could possibly need, chose us for one another—to lean on and love; to confide in and laugh with; to encourage, embrace, and enjoy. Relationships are a thing we need and something God takes delight in giving. Sometimes on our darkest days and in our most difficult trials we have a tendency to isolate ourselves and endure our battles alone. We trust God is with us but we don’t want to burden anyone else with our pain and suffering. We justify this by telling ourselves that everyone is walking through tough stuff, they don’t need one more thing to think about. This is a temptation designed to keep us separated from God’s plan for our lives. His plan always includes the people He brings into our lives, the relationships He orchestrates, and the purpose they hold in being a part of our journey of faith. We are stronger together, braver side-by-side, and perseveringly hopeful hand-in-hand—every step of the way to our eternal home. (from In This Together)
He thought of everything, provided for everything we could possibly need, letting us in on the plans He took such delight in making. Ephesians 1:9 MSG
