Let’s start with LOVE.

Don’t criticize and speak evil about each other. If you do, you will be fighting against God’s law of loving one another. James 4:11

God initiated a law long before governments were in place on the earth. He created humans in His image, His likeness. Have we forgotten what God is like? Let’s start with LOVE. Let’s remember compassion. Let’s think about forgiveness. Let’s reflect on kindness. Let’s meditate on patience. Let’s ponder sympathy, humility, generosity, and tenderness.

Is there an enemy of our souls who is active and determined? Yes.

Our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Ephesians 6:12

Can we exercise our free will and choose not to bear the likeness of our Creator? Yes. Do we realize we’re playing into the enemy’s hand every time we defy the attributes of love?

Division will destroy us.

If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand. Mark 3:24-25

Love will save us.

My beloved friends, let us continue to love each other since love comes from God. Everyone who loves is born of God and experiences a relationship with God. The person who refuses to love doesn’t know the first thing about God, because God is love—so you can’t know him if you don’t love. This is how God showed his love for us: God sent his only Son into the world so we might live through him. This is the kind of love we are talking about—not that we once upon a time loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to clear away our sins and the damage they’ve done to our relationship with God. 1 John 4:8-10, The Message
