I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. Ezekiel 36:26

When we become a new creation in Christ, the desire of our hearts change. Pursuits we thought were fulfilling are replaced by a passion to please God. Things we thought were necessary to define our self-worth fade away when the light of our Savior exposes our true identity. The Lord of all becomes all we need on the journey to spiritual maturity—and the heart no longer has room to exalt anything above Him.
